Spoilt brats and legendary Wizards (yes, capital)
I had two moments with one of the kids this week. In both classes. She has a bit of a personality issue. We were revising the present tense of the verb to be, and while we're at it, checking up on subject and object pronouns.
Everyone was kinda slowly getting their brains back (school classes were delayed for a month due to a f-huge teachers' strike) and steadily working through the activity pages I'd given them.
She kept on whinning "But I don't understaaaaaand" for most of the Tuesday class, I kept patiently reminding her the subject and that she has been attending to English institutes since 2007. In the end, she didn't finish anything and decided she was being left out because I wasn't explaining things to her. After I spent half the lesson kneeling beside her pointing out things in her workbook. Argh.
Then on Thursday, and following the advice of the Head Teacher, I ignored her for most of the, again, revision lesson. Everything was running smoothly, and she had finally shut up and started doing some work. Then, after about ten minutes while they all solved a fill-in-the-blanks exercise, she absolutely flipped because the girl next to her had finished first. I was very much tempted to drop my cup of tea on her head when she started moaning again. I hope she complains and her parents take her out.
I finished the first season of Merlin and I think I can summ it up like this:

Absolutely gorgeous and sweet, a bit meh on the special effects and admitedly a great WTF free version, and I loved every second of it.
Is it wrong that I like Uther? I actually cried in the last episode. Felt so sorry for him ;__; I'm glad he's still around.
Also, I can't stand Morgana, and it's not prejudice. I simply don't like her.
Gwen is win, as is Prince Arthur despite his horrible haughtiness, and Merlin is simply adorable in his own dorky can't-swing-a-sword-for-my-life way.
The Dragon! Ahaha pwnd. Liked the voice and the attitude. I want one. *starts digging underground lair*
But you know who my favourite is? Gaius. Mentors are a huge thing for me, and this one is perfect. And sweet, so sweet. I hope he stays.
I am now on the mission of finding the second season - wish me luck!
