Teaching existentialism is really hard and, at least so far, not at all fun.
But, I had a realization yesterday that made my week. Teaching existentialism is a Sysiphusian task. Three times a week, I show up in front of 50-odd students and talk about this stuff. Nothing sinks in, nothing happens. I show up the next day and do it all again.
It's kinda absurd that teaching about the absurd should itself be absurd.
And it's a pity that it'd be more than a little unprofessional to share this insight with my class...
