I made a really yummy dinner tonight, but of course it has to be on a night that Eric gets back rather late from martial arts. I'm still hungry too, which doesn't help, but that's kind of too bad for me. If I had the ability to control my snacking and love of cookies then I could have a couple of milanos, but I ate them way faster than recommended so...tough noogies.

I've been reading Behind the Scenes at the Museum (Eric's parent's recommended it and let me borrow it) and I enjoy it quite a lot. It's honestly a rather sad book, but is written in such a light-hearted and entertaining way that I don't really feel sad about it. The author also has her narrating character give away key sad plot points early on so nothing is a horrifying surprise which also makes it a lot more enjoyable to read. Comparing it to say The Story of Edgar Sawtelle is interesting because that too was a sad book, but it was just plain sad with nothing really enjoyable about it. It was also rather predictable seeing as it was Hamlet, but that didn't take away any of the sadness of it. Interesting.

My life is pretty boring overall, but I continue to be rather happy which is what really matters anyway :).
