Things are Looking Up
I've had a really great past couple of days. I think I'm finally beginning to find my niche.
1. Friday I got accepted into the LA Program (as you can probably read from my previous post).
2. Saturday I quit editing for Speechless. I was really worried that I would break ties or build up resentment, but Andrew was really nice about it. He said he understood and if I ever wanted to edit again for Speechless I could. So not only do I have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders, but I didn't burn any bridges. That makes me really happy.
3. Sunday I got an email from the Emerson Channel offering me a DDR position on The Zebro Show - which is run by Kevin Bright!! For those who don't know, Kevin Bright was one of the executive producers and directors of FRIENDS, and now he's teaching a class at Emerson and also helping out with the Emerson Channel. I was SO shocked to read that email. Yeah, it's only DDR (where you push a button whenever the directors tell you to), but I'm just honored that they picked me - especially after I quit Speechless. I'm just really excited for this.
4. Monday was the first taping of a show I'm working on called The Daily Grind. It really wasn't the greatest, but it was the first show, so I think it went OK considering that. Kevin Bright came to the taping, which was really exciting. Afterwards I ended up in an elevator with him and Amy Grill. Amy introduced us and I got to shake his hand! He then asked me what I did for the show. I told him camera. He then asked what camera I was and I told him camera 1. He sincerely told me I did a good job :). That made me really happy :).
5. Today I finally got all my confirmations for my free Nintendo Wii!!!!!!! They are just verifying that I completed all the requirements and then I can place my order. I'm EXREMELY excited.
So things are really good and I hope they can stay this way for a while. The film I'm working on with Carrie (CYMK) is starting to happen, and I think it will be a blast. YAY!
EDIT: I took some stuff I had written out because I'm a huge prick. I'm sorry my head got so big, and I feel really awful.
