Sunday timeslot update; Rob James-Collier interview; companion book updates

ETA2. Radio Times has the synopsis, cast list and credits for S2E1. Scrolled past the synopsis (happy to know I don't feel the temptation to read in the least) but did check the cast list just to see if my speculations based on past spoilers were right. (They were. :)) But will have to avoid that too for future eps.

ETA. Penelope Wilton is the guest on The Alan Titchmarsh Show (ITV1, 3pm) on 16 Sep (Fri) and will talk about the return of Downton Abbey.

On 18 Sep (Sun) at 6pm, Countrywise will broadcast a one-hour ITV1 special on Highclere Castle.

And E! Channel goes behind the scenes with Countdown To Downton this Sunday (11 Sep) at 6pm.

Any news after last weekend and yesterday must seem anticlimactic, but in any case, a couple of noteworthy items:

* ITV's press release for S2E1 has been updated and the premiere's now set for 9:00pm-10:30pm. (The earlier version said 9-10pm, which was puzzling as the press launch stated both the premiere and the finale would be 90-min eps. while eps. 2-7 would be 75-min.) No idea if the long synopsis has been updated/changed too but either way, it's back (after 'disppearing' over the weekend) and no, I haven't read it and will never read it, so please don't spoil it for me in the thread. :)

* On a side note, the BBC has scheduled Spooks' final bow opposite Downton Abbey on Sunday nights (been rumored for a while but it's only been confirmed today).

* Ian Wylie's interview with Rob James-Collier, which includes a new still for Mary.

* Another review for S2E1, with a couple of new details towards the end. (Unless it was mentioned in the long synopsis in which case never mind.)

* I've asked Harper Collins UK about the narrator for the audiobook of World of Downton, and they've answered it's indeed Elizabeth McGovern, not Dan Stevens as previously stated, and apologized for the confusion.

* Oddly enough, Dan Stevens will still take part at the Cheltenham Festival on 9 Oct (Sun) for the promotion of the book, along with Julian Fellowes, Jessica Fellowes and Gareth Neame.
