this is a long one...*deep breath*
Well, it has been almost 2 months since my last update. I have been a bit of a hermit for the last month, with the exception of this last weekend not many of you have seen me lately...so here's a bit of an update, and some other shit :p
Work:
I got a promotion at work. This was the first promotion I have ever recieved at work. Usually I would just be given extra work and slightly more responsibility, but this is different. Technically, I'm a team lead, we handle all supervisor issues and several credit and billing issues also. I'm loving it so far. Its only been a month, a bit more stress, but I FINALLY have a job where I do not need to seek permission to do my job. Both my new supervisor and manager seem to like me. The only bad thing (well, maybe its not a bad thing) is that I am the only guy in the ENTIRE department. It's kinda funny just listening to their conversations... sometimes I think that they forget Im there :P
School:
School has actually not gone well for the last 4 terms... infact, I have only completed 2 classes, and only passed one... not good at all. I've dropped 4 classes for multiple reasons, failed one, but suprisingly, the one class I did pass was accounting... a clas that I have never made higher than a C, I got a B in! How the hell I got a B in my worst subject, and failed a Contracting class (which is part of my Project Management concentration) is beyond me! But I did meet w/ my advisor, and found out that I actually have less classes left than what I originally thought, and I will be able to retake one of those classes that I had to drop for free... so I have a new sense of confidence in getting school done by years end or possible early next year...YAY!!!
Fun:
Star Wars III ROCKED!!! As of yesterday, it was still selling out evening shows at grapevine. Yes the acting could have been better and parts of the dialogue were cheesy enough to make you laugh, but even Harrison Ford had moments like that in the original StarWars trilogy. I think what i liked the best about this movie is that Lucas wrote it to where we understand his decisions, but we dont feel sorry for him.
Basketball:
Well, it looks like the Spurs should wrap up their series against the Suns tonite. I could see the Suns stealing this game, but all that will do is delay the ineivetable... The Heat/Piston series has been a very good series so far. Detroit should have won last nite, but they self destructed, and now Miami has a 2-1 lead. If they can keep the momentum and win game 4 in Detroit, it then goes back to Miami... I'll stick w/ my prediciton, Spurs v Heat in the finals *waits for Shooman's rebuttle :p*
