Anna rarely checks her mail; there just aren't that many people in the world who send her letters.
So when she swings by the mailbox on a whim and sees something besides misplaced messages and junk, she quirks an eyebrow and carries it upstairs to be investigated further.
The contents of the envelope make her frown thoughtfully and look at her watch. Clark said he'd be by; it shouldn't be long before he arrives. To avoid unnecessary conflict, she should probably just dispose of the thing. She promised, after all, and as much as her fingers itch to pick up a pen and write a response involving quirky mythological references - well, she can't.
