When R sounds like L

The new first grade students at my junior high school who are studying English for the first time use a workbook called Enjoy Writing to practice the alphabet. A student couldn't find his workbook, so went up to the teacher and said:

"Sensei, I never got my copy of Enjoy Life."

It's heartening to imagine that a student might possibly think an alphabet workbook could deserve the title 'Enjoy Life'.
