SCC Award Show '05, Trail of Terror, and more
Buckle up, because if you thought others I have done were long, you are in for a real treat this time…
Wednesday - Had the house to myself for a while and rocked out to Nickelback (courtesy of Kim) while making myself some dinner. Got all my gimmicks packed and then waited for my niece’s grandmother, Kim, to come to pick her up where I would tag along this night since I didn’t have work or school the next two days. She got there around 10 PM and we headed out.
I got to the wrestling house 45 minutes later or something and then called Andrew to see if he wanted to do something or whatever. He called back and said he was on his way to pick me up to go wherever. He got there, we went to Malitude’s place and picked him up, went to Pun’s place to pick him up, went to Cub to get some pizzas, and then finally went to Andrew’s where Venom met us there.
We started watching wrestling or something and ate pizza, later we would be joined by Allison and Cannon. More wrestling, more pizza. Everybody left except for Venom, Malitude, and I and we crashed at Andrewski’s place.
Thursday - Woke up, reheated the rest of the pizza I hadn’t ate the night before, watched The Cable Guy, and went on the computer while I waited for everybody to get up. I had went to sleep with a nice big blanket that covered my whole body and woke up with a wash rag on me, our favorite resident black man stole my blanket while I was sleeping… asshole.
Venom took off to do whatever. Andrew, Malitude, and I left to go drop Malitude off where he would then take 2 plus hours getting ready and whatever. So, while we waited we went to Wal-Mart and were the first people in the entire world to play Xbox 360, they had just set it up and we were the shit for the 15 minutes we got to play it! Ohhhhh yeahhhhhh!
We left and picked up Malitude before heading back to Andrewski’s to chill before we had to leave for the award show. I got into my award show gimmicks which included my bad ass D.A.R.E. shirt I still have from when I graduated the D.A.R.E. program in fifth grade, I rule! Sarah came over and some drama started, but quickly ended. Sarah is cool.
Bobby had taken the day off to go this thing, however his car wouldn’t start so he couldn’t get his tabs or something like that. So, we were all trying to find somebody to go pick him up and Pun as well. Allison showed up and decided she would be nice and cool like she always is and pick up Bobby and Pun, I tagged along. I think we almost got in like 2 accidents during our trek, Allison is my favorite driver ever! :-)
When we got to the wrestling house to pick Bobby up I walked in on him chugging a 40 in his room. He was completely wasted. This should be an interesting night! We had a quick chat with Joe about whatever and then took off to get Pun. Pun and I had to squish into the back seat of Allison’s truck, second most uncomfortable ride of the day, the first comes later.
It was already like 6:30 by now so instead of heading back to Andrew’s which was the original plan we just went straight to the community center. Took a seat by the NI-dub crew, made sure to sit by Bobby to see what crazy drunk shenanigan’s he’d be pulling. It was an interesting show and probably the best one I have been two. I guess winning three awards helped that though, heheh.
Highlights of the show were: Andrew whipping out the boss promo when he accepted both awards, the crazy tap dancing/violin playing kids, and finally winning the damn sports award after like five years.
After the show, I was disappointed to see that SCC totally gypped us out of real food and just had deserts and punch available in the hallway, dub-tee-eff is that! After eating some cookies and stuff, everybody decided to go get some real food at Applebee’s so Bobby, Allison, and I headed out there. For some reason I decided to seat in the front seat with Bobby and Allison. I sat bitch and it was really uncomfortable, but after many cramps in the legs, we did make it!
Andrew and everybody else were going somewhere to get something or whatever, I don’t recall. So we chilled at A Bizzle for a while waiting for the rest of the crew, but decided halfway through the wait to just order our food already. Remind me to never get anything lemonade at Applebee’s ever again, it tastes like some type of metal, I can’t explain it.
Kim and Julie joined us after Pun, Venom, and Allison had to rush off. After sitting in the parking lot for a while trying to figure out what to do, everybody decided to go over to Venom’s for something. I was tired and wanted to sleep, so Julie was nice enough to drop Bobby and I off at the wrestling house where I stayed up talking to Nicklebear for a while and then headed to sleep.
Friday - I got up, showered, and then immediately after that got a call from Andrew to see if I wanted to chill or whatever. So he, Venom, and Malitude picked me up and then after dropping Malitude off we went to Andrew’s where I ate the other pizza I left over there. We were joined by Allison and then decided to head to Venom’s for movies or something. Vinnie Devine decided to join us, I haven’t seen him for like a month or something, so that was cool.
We met him at Dairy Queen and with some words exchanged by Venom’s car and his car, we took off for somewhere, me and Allison had no idea. I felt like we were in a heist or something. We stopped at Wal-Mart to get some root beer to make some root beer floats. On the way back to Venom’s, they all decided they were hungry so they stopped at White Castle. Allison was hungry and wanted Bakers Square, so we headed there with Vinnie to get some eats.
I didn’t order anything, just had some water. We had some cool chats and whatnot. Talked about wrestling, all that jazz. After eating we sat in Vin Man’s car for like 4 hours, listening to tunes and talking more about stuff, while Allison wrote stuff on the window’s, good times. We headed over to Venom’s to catch the last ten minutes or so of Crash, weird movie.
I had some pixie sticks and other candy while I surfed the net for a while. Allison put my hair (well half of it anyways) in cornrows, it marked the first time I had that done to my hair. It hurt like a bitch. I felt like I should have been wearing baggy pants, a G-unit sweater, some bling bling, and packing heat. Everybody started falling asleep and such. I played a game of Madden ‘06 with Mr. Devine and whooped his ass like 50 to 14. After that I put on Earnest Saves Christmas or something, but fell asleep.
Saturday - I remember waking up out of nowhere and staring at Allison and Vinnie with a weird look on my face (I guess) they laughed, it was like 7 in the morning. I took the cornrows out and lost my gangstaness. Andrew got up and we left for his place. When we got there, we started watching Tommy Boy, but Andrew fell asleep. So, I went on the computer for a while and finished watching the movie and then went to sleep again. I got two calls from UNKOWN while I was sleeping, I wonder who it was, hrmmmmmmm?????
I woke up a couple hours later and got dressed and waited for Dan to pick me up. We headed back for the wrestling house, where I sat there for a couple hours going on the computer and whatnot. Diana made a visit, I haven’t seen her in forever, it was kinda weird. Joe, Michelle, and I left for The Trail of Terror in Shokapee around 7 PM or something like that. Got there around 45 minutes later.
There was an INSANE amount of people there, it was crazy. We got our tickets and then immediately waited in line for the hay ride. Two hours later, you heard me right, TWO HOURS later we finally got on the damn ride. My entire foot was numb from the coldness. The hay ride itself was pretty sweet, probably the best hay ride you can find in the state. Our guide was being a dick and telling us what was going to happen and stuff.
After the ride we waited in line for the heated indoor maze, the line wasn’t heated, but it wasn’t long either so we got in probably in aboot 30 to 45 minutes. It was the longest haunted house thing I have ever been to in my entire life. Aboot 5 times while I was walking through it I was thinking, this must be the end, but it just kept going on and on. It was really sweet, I could have done without the fat girl behind me bumping into me the entire time and the black guy with her complaining aboot how long it was, assholes.
After the big maze we went to the 4 small gimmicked ones. The first was a butcher house, it was good, but nothing special. Next we went to the mind bending house, it was just a bunch of weird shit, like a fun house, the best part of that was the moving walls that made you feel like you tipping upside down. After that was the clown house.
Now, I’m not afraid of clowns and through every one of these houses I was always the last one to go in out of our group. So, I figure why not step-up and be the first this time. So, I went in, followed by Joe and then Michelle. I’m not sure how well I will be able to explain this through typing but I will try. Everything was going good until I turned a corner and all I saw was a long ass hallway with one strobe light at the end of it that flickered on and then off, then on again.
The hallway probably wasn’t very long, but to me it seemed extremely long. I expected somebody to pop-up from the side somehow, but that did not happen. The light flickered off and when it came back on, at the very end of the hallway I saw the outline of a person (a clown obviously). I stopped immediately, I don’t know why, I guess it took me off guard or something.
The strobe went off again and I got pushed by my bro to start walking again, I started and once I did the light came on again and he clown was still there, just a little bit closer this time. I stopped again, and again got pushed by my brother. Light flickers, clown is closer. I was terrified and I’m not really sure why, obviously it’s not like the clown was going to do anything to me. This went on until Mr. Clown and I were almost face to face.
When we got this close, the light flickered and when it came back on he was gone. I’m not sure where he went and I didn’t care, I made my way through the rest of the haunted house as fast as I could without running. It was definitely the most terrified I have gotten at a haunted house. Last was the phobia house, that wasn’t very interesting, but kinda cool.
After we hit all the haunted houses, we made our way back to the green machine and took off for the wrestling house once again. I was planning on trying to make it to The Evil Dead screening at The Plaza, but it was too late and I wasn’t gonna make it. It kinda made me mad, but I was tired so it’s all good. Got back to the wrestling house, and went straight to sleepy.
Sunday - I got up earlier than I desired to, but took a shower and stuff anyways. There was nothing planned for this day so after shower I went on the computer for a while until calling people to see if they wanted to do anything. I couldn’t get a hold of anybody so I went back to sleep for a while. Bobby got up and he borrowed Joe’s car and we went to the Cub Food’s bank.
I called Andrew on Bobby’s phone to see if he wanted to go to OCB for some eats, but he said he already ate or something, so I just told him to call me back if anything is going on. Sitting around at the wrestling house was done for a while until I got a TM from Allison about going to a movie or something. I had heard nothing aboot any movies so I called her and I guess going to see Waiting is what everybody was doing.
She came to pick me and Bobby up, but Bobby had changed his mind and wanted to do whatever. So, we left minus Bobby to go to Wendy’s for some food. Allison didn’t get anything, so I felt like a fatty, heh. We went over to Andrew’s to meet him there, but he wasn’t there so we called Pun to see WTF was going on and he said to just meet at the movie theater so we headed out there.
The drive there seemed really F N long for some reason, I don’t know why. We got lost at the end and Allison called Pun to see how to get where we were going. He gave some more directions but we got lost again. So, we called him a second time and then all of a sudden he gave us directions to his house, for some reason. We got to his place and then took off for the movie.
Saw the movie for a second time, it’s pretty good, for the second time. The plan was to go to Perkins after the movie, but I was way too tired and needed to get back to the wrestling house to see when and if Joe was going to drive me back home. So, Allison dropped me off and I took a nice sized nap before Joe decided to take me home at around 1 in the AM hours.

A long ass weekend. Longest one since going to Manville. It’s crazy now how every time I go down to the Maplewood/St. Paul area or whatever, there is always stuff to do everyday. I remember when I used to go down there during the weekends and just sit at Joe’s house the entire time. I’m definitely grateful that I got some cool buddies. Andrew, Allison, Pun, Venom, Malikite, Bobby, you guys all rule! The highlight of the weekend was definitely the SCC award show, I just wish there was Halo afterwards or something. Trail of Terror comes in a close second, Halloween rules!
This coming weekend is my long awaited return to the ring, well long awaited for me anyways. I haven’t wrestled since the first, so I am very, very excited. I wrestle twice this weekend, or at least I think I do. I haven’t heard much aboot the show on Saturday, but I think it’s still a go. I’m scheduled to wrestle Venom that day. Then, on Sunday, of course, is Northern IMPACT Wrestling’s debut in Wisconsin as we present “Breaking New Ground.”
The card so far for that show is stellar. Rain and Jimmy Jacobs are coming back for only their second appearances in NIW, Ann-Thraxx is making her NIW debut, and Al B.C. sets to defend his NIW championship for the first time ever, against Kid Krazy.
