Some costume pictures...

Since I have photos of most of the costumes I've made this summer, I thought I'd post some here. Just a few pictures behind the cut...

First off, a shot from Twelfth Night. I made everything that the character on the left, the Duke Orsino, is wearing--shirt, pants, sash, and caftan. Those of you who regularly read my whining might remember me bitching about the wonky fabric. Even more fun, each piece was difficult in different ways. At least he looked great in it!

I also helped with the quick change to get Viola (female character) dressed as the boy she's pretending to be (right). That was a lot of fun--the actress was very sweet, and she was even kind enough to tip me at the end of the production.

Also from Twelfth Night, these are the attendants. I made their headbands and worked on a couple of the vests and sashes.

These are also the guys I dress all summer. Whenever I'm talking about "my interns" or "my boys", I'm referring to them. (They're probably also the culprits if I talk about actors trying to drive me nuts--their favorite game is to be as crude and obscene as possible and see how long it takes me to tell them to shut up. *eyeroll* Fortunately, they all have two brain cells to rub together, so if you hear me talk about dumb actors, these aren't the ones.) They do the preshow outside, so I had an average of nine minutes to change them from their sweaty middle-class Elizabethan garb to those costumes. And now we're doing Cyrano de Bergerac, so we have the added fun of wigs!

And finally, a shot from Jungle Book. I made Shere Khan's (left) top, pants, and sash and the Monkey King's vest. I also made a couple other pieces for the show (another pair of pants and a tunic), but I haven't gotten any pictures of them.

There's one more costume from Cyrano that I worked on that I want a picture of, but otherwise, that's pretty much it. I might take pictures of all of the laundry I do someday, just for the fun of it. XD

attention whore, theatre, cheese and whine, like patience on a monument
