Good news: Maine has become the fifth state to legalize same-sex marriage.
Bad news: This was on Yahoo's main page this morning. It has been removed in favor of the ever-so-interesting headlines "Kirstie Alley tells how she gained 83 pounds", "Oldest dog celebrates another birthday in style", and "Report: Paula Abdul says she has beaten addiction to painkillers". Because those are all more important than progress and civil liberties, don't you know. *headdesk*
