Vacation!
I was thinking, next summer we should all rent a house on the Outer Banks for a week. Including all the people who have been scattered to the winds, like Matt and Ariana. And Bernice. And whoever else you guys want to bring along. There's really no limit to the size of the house we can get, so no worries there.
The thing is, we need to plan this pretty soonish. My parents reserved the house we just stayed at back in January, and they got the last available week in August. This is pretty far in advance for the likes of us to be planning, I know. And I'm sure you won't really know your schedule then at all, but since we will know about the vacation far in advance, I would hope you'd be able to plan everything else around it.
As for dates, I suggest mid-late August. The water is warmer, and I think rates might be a little lower, but I'm not sure about that. As for prices, if we get a house that we can fill pretty much to the brim, it doubt it will be more than $300 for one person for the entire week. And it will actually probably be much less.
So if you want to go, let me know. And if you want to bring friends that might not see this, let them know, please. The more the merrier. Oh, yeah, if there are pairs that would be sleeping in the same bedroom, that's important for me to know. Once I have an estimate on the number of people coming, I will do the leg work and find houses that we'd fit in and let you know the price. I also volunteer to handle the monies.
