(no subject)
my job is quite possibly the coolest thing .. ever.
-get there at first, do nothing for 45 and am thinking "this is gay"
-hahahaha ... that didn't last
-got to mix pre meds and sedatives in syringes, 2cc's of this 1.2cc's of that, WAY awesome.
-watched an eye surgery on a cat, then watched it get spayed (or neutered? it was a guy), she cut the balls right off! ew... ahahahah.
-golden retreiver (a cute one at that) has seizure, have to do a euthanasia (sp?). so sad. i almost lost control. then had to carry it in a garbage bag to a freezer in the basement (with the help of andrew. 3rd year guelph student. really smart. makes me look like an idiot. but is nice enough.)
-hold animals while they are given the injections i made.
-get to chill with a lab while it wakes up from surgery.
-watched a super extensive knee surgery, had no idea what was going on, but it was bloody and cool. something about chipping away bone.
And that was 6 hours. it went by really really fast, and was so fun that I signed up to work another 6 hours tomorrow. Although suffering from lack of sleep i'm learning so much, sweeet.
