It's amazing how much gender might change things. Excellent 'what if'! The relationship between Dean and Sam here was strong as ever here, and especially adorable. Nice work!

To be honest, thinking about how their relationship would be different if Sam were a girl is one of my very favorite things as a fan. I think b/c Dean is such a mom at heart (and so sweet with Mary) he'd be a lot more openly affectionate with a sister.

So, HI!!

When I saw your wish, I thought, wow, this was made for me. And, haha, I guess it kind of was! I'm so happy you've liked my girl!Sam fic!!

And, oh my gosh, I have so much headcanon for how Dean and Sam's relationship would have been different had Sam been a girl. I think Dean feels a lot of pressure to be the hyper-masculine older brother for both John and Sam. He has to raise another male hunter that would make John proud. But if you look at his relationship with Mary, he is such a Momma's boy! And such a mom! If Sam had been a girl, I think he would obviously be just as devoted as he is to boy!Sam, but he could be as close and affectionate as he wanted b/c she's a girl and he wouldn't have to be that kind of role model. He'd still be super/overly protective (probably more so than he already is) but I think emotionally, he'd feel that he could be more open and available.

That's what I think, anyway.
