last night me and carlye witnessed a man get hit by a car. before we knew it the car that we were behind in the other lane swerved and glass, papers and clothing articles were flying everywhere. the man was thrown up into the air and almost landed on our car. he landed next to the tire and his head started bleeding all over the concrete. if she wouldnt have slammed on the brakes like she did he easily could have landed on our car. the man that hit him we think was possibly intoxicated. you never think of this kind of thing happening other then in movies. ive never seen blood so red in my life. when the fire truck pulled up the lights shined brightly on the street. the blood was redder then anything ive seen. i was shaking so much it was hard to stand. people never see this kind of thing happen their whole life, and we witnessed it first hand at the age of 18. your not supposed to see this happen, and its not supposed to. all i can say is i will never drive the same again. while driving a friends car last night i was so cautious to every thing, everywhere. paranoid as shit every loud noise i heard the rest of the night made me jump. as for the man that was hit i think he was ok..he was breathing and trying to move while laying there. it was really sad because he was already walking with a walker..i cant imagine him ever walking, even with a walker, again. with my strong belief that -everything happens for a reason- i take him being okay and the whole situation, as a possible wake up call for the man that was driving. if he was drinking, and by judging him, i think he will always think twice about it and driving. and i think that should go for everyone that thinks its ok to drink and drive..you think that this kind of thing will never happen to you, that your super aware while doing it..well your not, and it does happen.

i hope noone else ever has to witness this. its horrible that the only way to be a better and more aware driver has to come from seeing this kind of thing happen.

i dreampt about it last night and i cant get the images out of my mind...its overwhelming...
