Like a squirrel stockpiling nuts for winter, I'm going to be trying to work as much as I can for the rest of the month.
I've got a pricey Boston trip coming up Sept. 30th- Oct. 4th. And while I've already bought the tickets and paid a deposit on my room, I've still got to anticipate food, transportation and other fun city stuff. I also still need a fancy cocktail dress, but I could make do without.
The store I work at is also hitting its slow season. Sales have dropped dramatically, therefore my hours are dropping as well. October has me scaled back even more. The ONLY good news out of this, is the chance to build up my Etsy shop and get some sewing done.
I'm trying to be more mindful of eating at home. I've got enough beer stockpiled to last the rest of the month (I hope). I need to stock up on canned and dried goods. Its becoming "soup season" and thats a pretty affordable way to cook.
Earlier this year I decided on a savings plan. I fully intend on sticking to it. I've been rather frivolous the last couple months. I did, afterall, just buy $150 in new clothes, I still need new shoes, and there is boston coming up. But I know I can live WELL within my means and keep putting money into that "don't touch" savings account.
Someday, I will have house.
