My Five Favorite Romantic Movies
1. 50 First Dates:
Because it really shows how a 'curse' can be transformed into a blessing because of the power of love and creativity!
2. What Dreams May Come:
Because it shows why we are here: to experience love, again.....to experience again that first meeting and the excitement of that, that first date, the first kiss, the first time we make love.....what the movie didn't say but alluded to, was that the ONLY way to do that, is to forget we ever met! That ending was so beautiful!
3. Vicky Cristina Barcelona
Just like the 6-minute short film "Grace", I experienced my heart virtue while watching this movie also! Something about the love and honesty of the man "Javier" was just so touching to me! The break-up scene moved me to tears! The love he showed during that moment was amazing! AND I watched it at an apt time in my life too! Since then, I've seen it again and again! I also liked his no-bullshit approach.
4. About Adam
This was the inspiration behind my poem "You Say You Want True Love. Bullshit!" I especially liked Adam's words near the end of the movie: "When I am talking to people, I've noticed, they are always wanting something from me......The interesting thing is: that doesn't annoy me at all! I am happy to give it to them - IF I can!"
This movie will really really question your notion of what love is and what relationships and what we desire from relationships

I just LOVE the intensity and passion of this movie as well the numerous beautiful quotes from this movie!
