spearfish, south dakota
well, i'm stranded in a days inn after bob (my bus) needed to go in for some health care. i opted to hang out here and get the ongoing overheating problem addressed *before* I tried to go through the wyoming desert and then the rocky mountains. unfortunately that happened to fall right on the long weekend. spearfish is a little community college town, and i've been lazing it up, drinking kaluha in an air conditioned room, waiting for my turn to do my laundry (a much needed convenience at this point). I had an amazing stay in the Badlands. My prayers are still with New Orleans, and it's terrible to just sit here and watch the news. I still intend to do volunteer work once I get to New Orleans. Vincenzo and I are planning on going into the city together as red cross or salvation army volunteers once I get to that area of the country. He is safe with his dad in New York, in the mean time.
