Top Ten Things I'm Thankful For (2008 edition)

(in no particular order)

1. My health. Really. I know that I've taken it for granted that I rarely get sick and that I have a decent cholesterol and blood pressure. I think working out this year has helped to put this all in perspective, especially since I know people who have gotten sick or passed from cancer complications.

2. Jay. Without his ongoing support, I'm not sure that I'd be as motivated to keep exercising and trying to be healthier.

3. All of my LJ and Facebook friends. Some of you are new to me this year, and I hope you've enjoyed getting to know me, my music tastes, and my writing as much as I appreciate your letting me into your life.

4. Supernatural. Without this TV show and the people who watch it, I don't know that I would have initially connected to so many other people.

5. Paste. This magazine has introduced me to so many great musicians, and I love the style their articles are written. Full of intellect, passion, and support for the indie arts.

6. Emusic.com. This site has hosted many artists that I love since 2006, but they also have a lot of the people that I've discovered through Paste. These previous two go hand in hand.

7. Sam and Laura, you know your LJ names... if it weren't for both of you, I'd probably have given up on LJ by now. ♥ you!

8. My friends that I have here in NJ. Without you guys, I doubt I'd want to live in this area for much longer. Your love makes it much more bearable.

9. My job and my coworkers. Even when things can seem sort of cliquey there, I still love it so much. I feel always blessed that I can tell people that I really like what I'm doing and who I work with.

10. My mom. Our friendship has really blossomed over the years, and it has become especially interesting since she's become a fan of Sirsy and Supernatural. My mom *is* pretty cool.

BONUS: I'm also thankful for Obama for running and for this country electing him as our new president!

And, it goes without saying (but I am anyway), I'm thankful for these things every day of the year.

Feel free to share what you're most thankful for in a comment below.
