More week/end fun!

It’s been a fun week for me-not because I had a break from the apartment, but because I learned more about people I care about.

Wednesday (04/09) night, I decided to crash at Levenia’s (FFC co-worker) place because the wipers on Mary’s car weren’t working… plus, when I mentioned it to Levy that I was interested, she was very happy to hear that she’d have company. It was a lot of fun with her. She and I were up until 2 AM, listening to music and talking. I learned a lot more about her that I won’t mention in my online diaries. Levy really trusts me and I’m glad that she does :)

Friday (04/11) was the Public Policy Day at the office. It was very interesting to learn the issues going on in Paterson and with education. It makes me want to vote for the Board of Ed election on 04/15. I’m, yes, an official registered voter for the first time in my life. It’s amazing how moving to another part of the country can cause you to be more aware of your community and the country in general. I definitely feel with every passing day that this area is my home. It fits with me and I enjoy that feeling. So, I intend on exercising my right to vote on Tuesday.

Friday night, Bruce and I crashed at Dana’s, his cousin’s house. Dana is no longer with her longtime bf for obvious break-up reasons, yet she is going out with someone new now, Joe, but he’s really nice so we’ll see how that goes.

Saturday (04/12), the clean-up got canceled, so we spent the day at Princeton, looking in the shopes that are too extravagant, but still there’s a really big and cool used CD store there. I spent like, 90 minutes going through all of the CDs. I didn’t buy any, but I wanted to. That night, we went bowling, which I sucked so much that I’m not going to even write them down.

Sunday (04/13), Bruce and I went to another used CD store; they had a better selection, but not as affordable. I came close to buying Eve6’s first album and Howie Day’s first album, which the latter, I should’ve. Had a filling lunch at the great Gokul restaurant in Iselin. The Simpsons were hysterical! I can’t wait for Weird Al’s new album!

Movies seen:
Theater: Chicago, yeah, we caved. But it was really entertaining. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
MAX: Flatliners (first viewing)
HBO: Big, I’ve seen this one numerous times, but it’s always a fun watch.

No new CDs, but I’m itching to buy:
Howie Day: Australia
Shakira: Donde Estan Los Landrones?
Jason Mraz: Waiting for My Rocket to Come
