Hey, it's you!

I'm posting this real quick before Mom and I leave to get the rental car to go up to see Sirsy.

Last night we went to go see an off-Broadway play, Some Girl(s). The cast is Eric McCormack (from Will and Grace), Fran Drescher (from The Nanny, and movie The Beautician and the Beast), Judy Reyes (from Scrubs), Brooke Smith (I've seen her in stuff, but can't tell you what they were), and Maura Tierney (from the movie Liar, Liar, and recently seen in TV's ER). It was written by Neil LaBute, and if you know anything about him, you'll know that his material is usually in the vein of exposing dark (sometimes humorous) aspects of relationships. This play certainly does that, with more straight-up humor than I've seen of his other stuff, and in the form of a man going to revisit four of his previous relationships to try to make right what he did with them before he gets married. Of course, you'll know with Neil LaBute, it's not that clean-cut.

That said, everyone's acting was amazing! I do have a hard time seeing Eric McCormack play a straight guy, but once I accepted it, it worked. I have to say that Fran's scene was the best of the four, but really... everyone was awesome! LaBute certainly didn't disappoint me with this material.

Now, here's to the point of why I'm writing...

Mom and I were walking out, and I glance at the stage door just to see who's waiting for who to come out. And, immediately, I blurt out (and I think I'm pointing too):

"Hey, it's you! You're the janitor!" I'm probably blushing, but I still walk up to him. It's Neil Flynn, aka the Janitor from Scrubs! I couldn't believe it!

"Hey, how ya doing?" He switches his cigarette so he can shake my hand.

"Was Scrubs the finale this week?"

"I think so, at least we're hoping it's a 'To be continued.'" I'm sure he's referring to how NBC has been giving them the shaft and how they don't know if they'll be returning or not. "Did you watch it?"

Mom and I laugh and say, "Yeah, it's crazy how everyone's pregnant!"

"Did you like the play?"

"Oh yeah, it was awesome!" I want to say more, but I'm sure I'm still fangirling, even tho it's only the Janitor. hehe, I was just so surprised!

Then, I say, "Well, it was nice to meet you!"

He nods and smiles.

"Tell everyone I say 'hi!'"

He smiles and nods again, "Okay."

Then, Mom and I leave. And, we're giggling cuz I'm just so silly!

But that was so cool!
