I've been reminiscing about a few favorite artists of mine, and below is the history and my personal take on their albums.
The Madonna InitiationSince I was a wee little girl, I've been listening to Madonna, collecting her studio releases, etc. I think it was "Material Girl" that first drew me in. I could've sworn at the time she wasn't saying "

The only one I really disagree on is Living in Clip vs. So Much Shouting, So Much Laughter. I would have said EXACTLY what you said about each, but reversed. I LOVE SMS, SML... so incredibly much. I think both discs are just pure genius. And then after loving it so much, Living in Clip was a disappointment to me. I like it, but I don't think it's as amazing as the other one. And I didn't even hear it [either one] until a while after they came out, so it wasn't that...
I totally agree about Little Plastic Castle, that and SMS SML are probably my favorites.
Hmm... Up x 6, I only listen to a few songs off it. Tis of Thee, Virtue, Up x 6, and Jukebox. I dunno, I think those songs are absolutely fabulous but the rest of the album... blah.

I kind of want to do my own Ani CD review now! Heh. I'm so proud of myself... I've almost gotten every CD. I'm missing the first three (Ani DiFranco, Imperfectly, and Not so Soft) and Evolve, which I'm not so enthusiastic about based on the songs I know. Then I just need the official bootlegs and DVDs, and my collection will be completely :)

I think I need to listen to SMS SML more or something. I think the main disappointment was that I was expecting more songs from TTT to be represented. *shrug*
I am now feeling compelled to listen to it again now tho :)
I would like to read an Ani CD review from you!
