Okay, Friends List. It's time for your Powers of Awesome to combine and give me some advice.
I'm flying down to DC for work next month, and I have Options. Of course, being me, I know next to NOTHING about all this, and would like the advice of the well-traveled among us.
Details on the trip:
It's an overnighter for a kickoff event. I'll be arriving in early afternoon, going to the event that night, and then flying out the next day. I'm taking one carry-on suitcase, a tote with my purse and computer, and that's it.
Option 1:
Since I'm staying in downtown DC, the best airport to come into would be Ronald Reagan, dropping me a mere five miles form my hotel. Four major airlines fly through that hub, and I've NEVER flown any of them. The flight is only two hours, so it doesn't matter all that much which I pick, but since the fares are all the same, I figured I should go with whichever airline is better to deal with.
So I need your opinions of all of them (which are fabulous, which are HORRIBLE, which airline you wouldn't fly with again if someone paid you, etc):
American, Delta, United, and US Airways.
Option 2:
I've flown JetBlue in the past, and like flying with them, but they only fly into Dulles, which is 25 miles from DC and the hotel I'm staying at. Is Dulles really horrible? Is the TRAFFIC really horrible? Or is it worth the savings (I like JetBlue, and the fares are about $100 cheaper)??
So, this gives me two questions:
1.) Is it worth the taxi ride to fly JetBlue?
2.) If it's not, which airline should I fly with?
Aaaand advice time?? On your marks.... get set... GO!
