Copy this sentence into your livejournal if you're in a heterosexual marriage (or committed relationship), and you don't want it "protected" by the bigots who think that gay marriage hurts it somehow.

Marriage is a holy institution to me, and I think it shouldn't be entered into lightly. As someone considering who wants to become a minister, I believe it's also a matter of faith and spirituality, but that is entirely my own opinion. Any minister or religious institution has the right to pass judgment over who they will or will not marry within their faith tradition; my faith is open, inclusive, and loving, and has been some of the first clergy to step forward to marry homosexual couples. The federal institution of marriage is a financial and legal arrangement that should not be denied to anyone regardless of their purpose (as much as I may not agree with it) or gender.

Hate is not a family value. A marriage is the start of a family. You do the math.

Love is all you need.
