I'M NOT DEAD. CALL OFF THE ALARMS. I'm just mostly dead.
It’s the end of September and my life is crazy, crazy, crazy. I haven’t logged into LJ for weeks (uh, literally), and I’ve barely had time to read email. Yes, it’s been that nuts.
What started this whole mess was that Wes and I moved into our own little apartment two and a half weeks ago. We actually moved on the 6th; for those of you playing along at home on the East Coast, that was the day we got hit with the remnants of TROPICAL STORM HANNA. NO FUCKING JOKE. It was bad. *shudder* We’ve been unpacking and cleaning ever since, and as of this past Saturday, it is now remarkably live-able (besides the barely-there water pressure, but that’s a problem for our landlord). We’ve hung a couple posters (dsjklf SO AWESOME), moved the boxes downstairs, and put down the rug in the living room. One thing that we haven’t had reliably the past two and a half weeks is internet. Yes, I know, the HORROR. Right now we have wired internet (THANK JEEBUS), but my wireless router is being a bitch and a half for reasons beyond all human comprehension. But I’m finally returning to live on the internets, bit by bit.
In addition to not having internet at home, work went boom. With the start of the school year, our event schedule quadrupled, including a couple major events for me this month. I planned a major event in four cities in California, which took a lot of time and energy. I also went to New York last Wednesday for an event, and that was, well, eventful (flew out on the 9am, back home on the 5pm, voila). And this Saturday is Homecoming (yes, in the rain, WOO HOOOO), and Sunday morning is the Council Meeting (christing hell, why do they do those back-to-back?). So I’ve barely had time to check personal email, let alone anything else.
By not being able to check my LJ for the past two weeks, I’m also riotously behind on everything. Like, 500 entries back on the journals-only filter behind. So- WHAT’S GOING ON WITH YOU? Tell me, internet. I care. Seriously; what’s up with you, your loved ones, your life.
To sum up: Hi. I’m not dead, just BUSY AS HELL. How are you?
