the big TWO-FOUR. ahem.
So, things.
This weekend was good. Oddly enough, it was both bizarrely eventful and uneventful at the same time. Hmm. Went to get my haircut on Saturday; turns out they had me scheduled for Friday (their mistake, not mine), so I'm gonna wait until this weekend, whee. On the way back from the salon (ooooh, salon, fancy) the car died, so I got to get it towed, wheeee! It literally just DIED. The check engine light came on, and then it no longer acknowledged that it had a gas pedal, f'serious. I got it off the main road, thank goodness, but it just... died. Thankfully, my parents were back in town, so they picked me up instead of me being stranded at Colonial Motors, but STILL. Crazy, crazy, crazy.
My parents and brother came up to North Andover and we all went out for lunch; it was really lovely, and no one was harmed in the making of this birthday. XD My parents are giving me hints; they got me pans (for baking cookies, nom nom nom!) and a crock pot for my birthday. The crock pot I had been lusting after (yes, I'm a geek, WE KNOW) for a while, so that's pretty damn cool. It is programmable! And has a 'warm' setting so the food stays hot and tasty!! THIS IS AWESOME. Of course, I managed to leave it at the guys' apartment, so that blows, but since I have nothing to cook, I'll survive a week without the crockinater. I AM SO EXCITED YOU GUYS.
After the lovely lunch, Wes and I headed back to his apartment so he could get some work done, as this is finals week for the boy. He wrote a huge paper, plus finished two of his labs, and he has an exam today.
And now, I'm at work. Whee??
