Relationships I Have With Shows and Their Crazy-Ass Fandoms.
The steady:
For shows, it's always been West Wing, but Supernatural is edging in (I'm a J2 fic addict, apparently).
The old flame you don't see very often any more but whom you still really enjoy getting together with for a few drinks and maybe a pleasant nostalgic romp in the sheets:
West Wing. It started in 1999, people.
The one who seduced you and fucked you over and broke your heart in a million pieces and laughed about it:
STUDIO 60, those sonsobitches. I would say Firefly, except fandom is too insane to let it rest in peace, and there was a MOVIE. Big screen, two hours, the works. Studio 60, not so much.
The mysterious dark gothy one whom you used to sit up with talking until 3 a.m. at weird coffee houses and with whom you were quite smitten until you realized he really was fucking crazy:
Harry Potter, of course (the FANDOM, not the books).
The one you spent a whole weekend in bed with and who drank up all your liquor, and whom you'd still really like to fuck again although you're relieved he doesn't actually live in town:
Probably Supernatural. I love the fic, but the fandom is more than a little insane. See
this post wherein I speak my mind about the Supernatural LJ community.
The alluring stranger whom you've flirted with at parties but have never gotten really serious with:
Bones. I love me some Bones, and the fandom isn't TOTALLY nuts, but the fic just isn't that awesome. Yet. *crosses fingers*
The one you hang out with and have vague fantasies about maybe having a thing with but ultimately you're just good buddies 'cause the friendship is there but the chemistry ain't:
Y'know, probably Firefly. I love the show to bits, but the fandom-- I'm not a part of any of it.
The one your friends keep introducing you to and who seems like a hell of a cool guy except it's never really gone anywhere:
Arrested Development. I just-- eh.
The one who's slept with all your friends, and you keep looking at him and thinking, "Him? How the hell did he land all these cool babes?":
Heroes, I'd say. But I also haven't seen any episodes. This also applies to The Office.
The one your friend has fallen for like a ton of bricks and whom she keeps babbling to you about on the phone for hours, and you'd be happy for her except you just know it's going to end badly:
Gosh, no clue. I barely follow my own fandoms, let alone new stuff.
The ones you repeatedly cheat on your steady with:
Well, the usual suspects-- Bones, Firefly, West Wing... But the one night stand who I keep going back to? CSI OH GOD. CSI (I love me some Warrick Brown and Nick Stokes, holy shit, and Willows is awesome), CSI New York (haaaaii Danny/Lindsay, what's up?), CSI Miami (it's Ainsley! fighting crime and being a ballistics expert!)... ADDICT.

Anna's Taqueria
Best. Burritos. In Boston. Hand made, an entire lunch costs less than $5 (soda and MASSIVE BURRITO), the staff are friendly and straightforward, the food is line-chef quick, and it's fresh everything. I love it.
Interesting Yarn
I knit, so I like funky yarn. Take me into a yarn shop with an unlimited budget and OH LORDIE, the stuff I'd dig out.
Jason Varitek
Ohhhh, mamacita. I'm a baseball fan, and specifically a Red Sox fan, and Jason Varitek is the catcher and captain of the Sox. And he's got an ass and thighs to DIE for (see: squatting for a living). He's an awesome captain, a mean catcher (he calls a great game), and a nice guy. I have a Sox jersey with his name and number on the back AND a tee shirt.
1. Tek showing Alex Rodriguez who his daddy is.
2. Being a mentor to young Jonathan Papelbon, the phenom rookie closer.
3. Tek stretching. Hai there.
4. Varitek in a photoshoot, lookin' all intense and captain-ey.
Spark Craft Studios
This one I should probably take off. It's a yarn shop in Davis Square (near where I live) that I've never been to. Shame, shame.
Tesco
I spent two months in London a couple years ago, and I adore me some Tesco. It's a supermarket there that has everything and anything, and can be convenience store tiny or super stop & shop HUGE. There was a little one down the street from where I lived, and a MASSIVE, 24 hour one just a few minutes away that was actually really beautiful (my dad's an architect, I'm a dork) and ZOMG SO BIG AND FULL OF FOOD. So, yeah. I love Tesco.
