if it's four buttons about the wheel, it's a third gen! I have a 10 gig one, I got it like, 3 or 4 years ago! part of me wants a new one, but I like the four buttons soooo much better than the click wheel

A word to the wise, my friend: for the FM transmitter, stay away from the dinky little iTrip that attaches to the top of your iPod and broadcasts to only one station. I got that one and it stopped working after a few months. It was a total waste of money. The kind that Steph has works a whole lot better, and as far as I know they've never had any problems with it. It also serves as a car charger, very dual purpose :)

this is exactly what i was going to say. it plugs into your cig lighter, can tune like a radio to find the best available station, and is a charger. it's awesome and doesn't require weird software like the itrip.

are you selling your old ipod?
i dropped my old ipod in december and broke it and haven't had any portable music since.

The main reason for getting the new iPod is that the old one doesn't hold a charge for more than ten minutes. I have to keep it plugged in either at home or in the car in order to have it work. It's not exactly portable. :( Otherwise, it'd be all yours!

doh. wellll... depending on how much you want for it, i might still be interested -- i have a 40-min car commute every day that it'd be nice to have some music for.
