DM to Icestar:"Hide your muses, 'cause Dour's got a rocketlauncher!"
Word of the Day:
Howdy
slang for "How do you do?", origins in Texas, USA.
Harry Potter Innuedo:
"...did things with a wand I've never seen before..."
(Book 5, p.711)
Random thing: I've noticed that the Fandom Rating Communities on LJ (those trying to get rated, I mean) always put very unique LJ text in their cuts. It's quite amusing, really....
My dragon wagon lives! My car is fixed! Yes!
I saw Narnia again, and the surround-sound made me nearly orgasm, I swear. ::seizures:: And we realized that the lampost is a phallic reference. And that they filmed not only in New Zealand, but Guatemala, Poland, and the Czech Republic, too.
Speaking of Narnia, you know how I mentioned the other day that the tear in the note Peter reads appears and disappears from the top? Well, I found another mistake:
The badgers sound like guinea pigs.
Now, I dunno if you've ever heard either or both a badger or guinea pig, but badgers DON'T sound like tame little rodents, lemme tell ya.
And I made a startling discovery about Narnia that totally messed up this idea I had for an icon...I didn't see the fox in the end-scenes the first time around, so I was going to do this thing..."So they got some cool toys from Santa((over pic of Peter's sword and shield))...saved sexy Mr. Tumnus((over Tumnus pic))...and killed the witch.((over witch-driving-chariot pic)) But what I wanna know is...((on black background))...what the hell happened to the fox?((pic of stone fox))"
That really annoyed me.
Anyway, on the way home, my sister and I messed up a little rhyme.
Frosty the Snowdick,
Has a very long schlong!
When he takes a tinkle in the snow,
He really lets it show!
::just got Celina's mail::
That made my day. Seriously. I thought, "Hmm, what a nice poem...GAY! What?! HAH! Oh, jeez, that's good!"
I wasn't expecting that last line and I laughed myself silly over it. XDDDDDDDDDD
Amused as hell,
DM
P.S. Thanks to Penbee for finding that Japanese SFX site. XD Couldn't have translated some stuff w/o it! Momi momi!
And the poem written in ten minutes that Penbee made me hungry enough to write...Or as I said to her, "Be prepared for a steak marinade -er, serenade. Four stanzas in three minutes. Meaty prose, cooked up in the time it takes to fix beef ramen!"
Beef Is What's For Dinner
Oh, steak! How I love thee!
Pray tell, how shall I order thee?
Medium? Rare? Done well?
Falling into juicy marinade,
Ne'er to know thee quite as well again-
Tho' quite well dost I know thy power!
Eating thy strength of flavor;
Very heady is thy meat,
And most appealing to my palate.
Thou art a masterpiece,
(E'en tho' I prefer thy taste to be barbecue-less)
With thee, I shall dine!
(Convo after third stanza)
Penbee of Treew: ...*is having something of vulgar thoughts*
DourMetal: And now I'm gonna milk your suspense until tomorrow's LJ entry. (Penbee! How crude! XD)
That was a HORRIBLE pun! XDDDDDD
Em, Kelly, I have this horrible suspicion that I'll be submitting that poem to Mandala.
