See the latest advert for America's Top Model- her hair blown back by a fan, her face done with professional make-up, giving a sensuous glare that, due to its whole-fakeness doesn't look all that entiving (sort of like she's looking sexy while beginning to pass out?)...
And on her talk show she did a piece about men being obsessed with strip clubs, wondering aloud what they were missing at home.
She contributes to the image of perfection that American women feel they need to achieve, while many are repressed by overly stringent Christian morals. On Tyra's show a youngish couple came to tell their story...both pudgy, with the woman looking as meek as can be- legs tightly closed, talking quietly and looking down, and so on.
In the nightclubs the men find thin sex goddesses who pay great attention to them and their sexual needs- Tyra calls mens sexual libido's "wild" and implied that they're out of control.
It's fairly obvious what the men are missing at home, a lot of good sex and sexual attention.
And yet, Tyra sits on her show, part of the problem, doing a great job of making it seem as if the men are moral vacuum's, when what she evokes as a "top model" is part of the system and part of the problem that makes men monsters and unfairly enables women to feel victimized.
