Watanuki's hands were dancing, flapping left, flapping right, windmilling wildly until Doumeki caught hold of them, stopping him mid-rant and confusing Watanuki no end.
Watanuki tugged, but he could not break out of the grip. So when Doumeki advanced a step, he took a step back, one more, and another until he was up against the wall. Watanuki against a spread of purple butterflies.
"Hey you, what do you think you're doing. You idiot you jerk, you big tall good for nothing endless eating sake drinking archery freak! How dare you treat me in this way!!"
Doumeki did not reply, he edged ever closer until their bodies touched and his face hovered inches away from Watanuki's.
"Now now now look here you, don't think you're going to get away with this, don't think I'll ever make lunch for you again! That's right no more inari sushi or strawberry cream puffs, or grilled mackerel"
He was scared, his heart was racing fast, and his mouth wouldn't stop moving, talking and talking so that he didn't have time to think about the heat of Doumeki's body, or the look in the eyes that trained on him. He tried being as loud as he could, a torrent of noise to ward off Doumeki. He was expecting Doumeki to put a finger in his ear and say he was being too noisy. But Doumeki held on tight, until Watanuki had run out of steam..
"You - hah - you.." Watanuki panted.
Doumeki had moved in closer, enough so that when Watanuki moved his mouth their lips brushed, feather soft, and Watanuki couldn't say for sure who started kissing who, the tips of their tongues meeting so slyly, a flicker of wet and warmth. He closed his eyes and melted into it.
When at last they broke apart, fingers still interlocked, Watanuki glared at Doumeki.
"You kissed me first," Doumeki said.
Watanuki blew his top.
Doumeki smirked and held on until Watanuki had exhausted himself and was ready for a second kiss. If nothing else, Doumeki knew how to be patient.
