You may have a point as far as the galatians passage is concerned. However it is evident from other scripture that Peter did in fact misunderstood God's plan of salvation to the gentiles as well as Jesus ministry on earth. Take a look at Acts 10 ( my other example)...it says ( Read more... )

I think you're completely missing the point. I understand what you're getting at, and I agree, to some extent... but you're not completely right. There are things that we will always be unsure of in our knowledge of God's character, but what I'm talking about are the things that, if taught wrong, will lead others astray. It seems as though (which I know, or at least hope, you're not) you're justifying wrong teaching. I know that we won't always have all the right answers, which is why I said earlier, "Maybe I'm wrong in saying that if you don't have ALL the answers then you ought not teach... because no one is perfect of course". So I really think you missed the point I was getting at. And if you didn't miss my point, then I don't really understand why we're talking about this. I just hate to think that if someone reads this that they have to be perfect and have all the answers to be a teacher. So, what I'm getting at is... I just believe there are certain issues that we MUST have right before we teach. If you disagree... well then ( ... )

Ok I understand what you mean. I just could have sworn that you said in your post that if you did not understand Characteristic A that you should not teach characteristic B. But anyway did my other post help you as far as Jesus going to hell and the verse you were looking for I cor 2:11?

and also i want to ask some questions about your other post today about "judging eternally". I will post them sometime later this week.
