I started thinking about the move, and what did I do?
I'm making lists. Lists. LISTS.
I'm so proud of them that I think I should print them up and post them all over the house and pass them out to everyone who thinks they're going to help us move next weekend.
The lists are, of course, of stuff to do. What to clean, what to pack, etc. As if it isn't enough to simply say, "clean everything, pack everything, move everything, unpack everything."
I guess it's mainly for my peace of mind, to demonstrate that I really am thinking about these things and that it really can be done in an orderly, reasonably stress-free manner. I hate moving. So, perhaps this is a coping mechanism. It's also meant to help give direction to those who are helping us, since we'll be split up between people at our old place packing and loading and people at our new place unpacking and unloading.
It got cold. Yesterday it was a sunny 82 degrees out. Right now, it's overcast and a brisk 41 degrees. I don't think we're going to Dallas this weekend. The cold front is supposed to drop an ice storm on Dallas, and we don't want to be stuck there. Also, Jill's having another baby shower in March and I can go to that one if I miss this one. So, we'll probably clean and pack up Steve's garage this weekend, as well as doing all the sorting of stuff to throw/give away and stuff to keep.
