I was glad for Ladies' Night yesterday. My first time to go in more than 2 months, it was good to go eat a Paris, Texas platter of migas and french toast. And chocolate coffee! My how I've missed that. Of course, it wasn't all about the food. I enjoyed my girlfriends, too.
I watched the first five episodes of Roswell on Hulu over the past few days. Katherine Heigel as a teenage alien. Um. Wow.
Anyhow, episode four ended with a great little bit of wisdom, and I loved how the narrating character turned the phrase:
The tough thing about following your heart is what people forget to mention. That sometimes your heart takes you to places you shouldn't be, places that are as scary as they are exciting, and as dangerous as they are alluring. And sometimes your heart takes you to places that can never lead to a happy ending. And that's not even the difficult part. The difficult part is, when you follow your heart, you leave normal. You go into the unknown. And once you do, you can never go back.
