(no subject)
Today we awoke early, made a good breakfast, said a few prayers, and sat down to work at 9am! I know. I know. SHOCKING.
A friend took the boys out of the house. My husband put in his earpiece and made his first cold call. He got a machine. "Our offices will be closed today for Good Friday."
YIKES.
The fact that today was Good Friday for the West was so totally NOT on our radar. This is the first time in MONTHS that we've sat down with this much enthusiasm to begin a workday, and it just HAPPENS to be a day when we can't get any work done because everyone's gone.
I put the kids in bed an hour and a half ago. They're both still awake. We're like ping pong balls going back and forth, back and forth between the two of them.
One will settle down, then the other screams. That one settles down, then the other screams. O Lord, how long will this go on? Where is my blissful, children-in-bed silence?
I hope it is coming SOON.
