Akidp Ow, 50 strikes
Ok this is a quick one. Lately after class Kourtney and I have been hanging out with sensei Hanson as she works out, and she is sooo cool I'm so happy to have the sensei that I have. I have yet to meet another sensei that I'd rather have, I would'nt even start akido until I asked her for the go ahead.
So we've been talking, and fleshing out our lives to each other, it's such an honor to have such a good relationship with her. I learned alot more about her and the mentality it takes to be a sensei from our talks. I'd love to go into it further but my word is my bond so our talks are off limits even to my journal.
Tonight was akido with sensei Coolis, A fun class ummmm lots of pain but it's all about learning. At first Kevin was my partner, then the class was split in twain with the more experianced in one group and less so in another, then he split off with Cedrick. I worked with Tom for, ohhhh a minute, he's not so much into akido. Then at the time he gave out Sarah was sent over to our group so I worked with her for awhile, let me tell ya, I can't even tell ya the name BUT I missed a breakfall:) The first....and hopefully last, I did a lot of great breakfalls during the night but one miss made it thru and it was a doozy. Sarah did a technique to drop me on the floor in front of her AND DAMN*grins* ow, I think it was my belt I landed on. But in all the rest went pretty well.
Tonight I also learned the 50 nerve strikes..well I did know 22 of them, but anyway tonight sensei Kevin, and sensei Hiedi taught me the other 28:) I did'nt think I'd get it but they stuck with me until I got them, at first I tried writing them down but gave up and learned it the old fashion way.
I also found out tonight something I've suspected,I asked Kevin if Terri had been required to learn a kata other than Keehan.....nope, I'm the only green belt being taught Heehan Godan hmmmmm....
Now I'm watching Hitch....I need to fall
