When did Canadian politics become more about "overthrowing the current government" than representing the people. We're now on the topic of gay marriage and again, instead of trying to represtent accurately the homosexual and heterosexual populace of Canada the opposition and newfangled independats are speaking of taking down the existing minority

So, it seems we have a scandal ridden government, I can deal with that. The Federal Liberals have done everything in their power to fuck up their term in office. However, so stigmatized is Conservative leader Stephen Harper (originally coming from the far right wing conservative Canadian Alliance party of western Canada - Think the conservative American south...their roughly the same, what with social conservatism and de facto theocratism) that apparently the majority of Canadian citizens still prefer the current government, one which any other parliamentary state would kick out faster than you can say political suicide. Not to mention that unfortuantley Harper has, rather than addressing the issues of actual canadians, has been focussing not on how to make Canada better, but on the oppourtunistic toppling of the government. It really is a sad state of affairs. Our parliamentary system when one party is the minority and the other major ones are focussed at governmental overthrow rather than helping parliament get things done as well as the legislative interests of Canadians. For crying out loud they attacked the liberal budget that increased spending on education, the military and healthcare...are they against these???? No, Harper wants to be Prime Minister at any cost. My solution, Harper should step down as leader of Canada's conservative party to be replaced with deputy leader and co-founder Peter McKay. We have a more moderate Conservative not demonized by Canada's eastern political power region, a man concerned with fiscal conservatism and not social, and a party that can get things done. Hey I never said that this wouldn't be slightly partisan....Well to anyone who bothers to read this...I hope I provided some insight.
Cheers,
Danny
