Alaska is younger the John McCain
As the title says
is younger the John McCain. On the instruction sheet i was given for this project it says everyone gets depressed doing this. I will make a note not to do things that have a universal warning like that in the future. (Although, in my defense I couldn't get the directions until I agree to do it. But I still would have done it anyway.)
I hit a PR yesterday of 10.5 miles biking! Today I lifted. I have increased my exercise recently, and have lost most of if not all the weight I put on through law school. This makes me very happy. Hopefully I can keep this up throughout the summer.
I have lots of thoughts and things I want to write about, but I lack the time. I'll hopefully get around to writing them.
The first non-law school article I read was an article on the negative applications of volunteering. (And as we all know volunteering doesn't pay.) The article's premise is that free labor hurts business because they cannot compete, volunteers provide short term fixes to problems that need long term solutions that are less likely to receive the attention they deserve because of the short term fix and people who volunteer tend to be from outside of the community and foster resentment by both sides and lack of incentive for people inside the community to solve those problems.
I found it interesting. I'm not entirely sure if I buy the argument. One of the things I firmly believe a solution that can only be applied to large amounts of people (Like a lighthouse) will not get done unless the government steps in and does it. In my mind it is the cooler effect. It would benefit everyone who played sports for their to be a cooler. However, only one person needs to bring a cooler and everyone can use it. Therefore no one brings a cooler. Even when people play a weekly game with constant complaints of the heat, like at a pick up frisbee game, no one brings a cooler.
