Job outlook 2005

Tommorrow I will be sending in an 8 page application to Sam Houston State University. They need an electrician and I just happen to be one. I'll get a raise but less hours, so I won't make near as much money, but I'll enjoy my job more hopefully. Plus, there is a good chance I'll get to go to school there.

it will be nice to be in a learning environment again. the rednecks at my job are killing me everyday. they think I am weird because I occasionly read.

Yay, good luck! Which department does the hiring for that? Is it the physical plant? Kristin's roommate works for them.

physical plant, hopefully I will find out tommorrow. They said they should call within a few days.

If its full time I think you pay less for school. There is also some presidents scholarship for full time employees type think. Kinda like a lottery thing that, if you win, pays for all of your school...I think thats how it works.

In any case, I'll pray for you.

I appreciate that, I haven't heard from them yet but hopefully soon. I can't wait to leave redneck culture.

Good luck, when do you expect to hear from them? I started Gulf Coast last night...scary! Imagine 15-year-old girls covered in tatoos speaking in slang that hardened inmates use...disgusting. I always knew I was neither a idealist nor reformer...this just prooves it.
