So, Possum and I have been preparing for the Southwestern Regional Smash Tournament, The Colorado Cutthroat something or other. It begins this Friday. We're the two best players I've met, and every time a new smash player shows up, we reconfirm that. But we're not ready. The pros are still sharper than we, and with a suggestion of 60+ players in the tournament, we're bound to find a few uber players. There's an excitement to this, as we've been seeking someone tougher then we, someone to push us to a new level ourselves, someone to truly rate ourselves against, but one best two of three round won't be enough. You can only learn so much from somebody better than you in three matches.
A part of me is extremely excited, a part of me very unprepared. Are we ready? Yes and no. But we're excited. Doubles play on Friday! Singles on Saturday!
As long as we're not knocked out in round one by being paired against that rare super player, this should be very, very tasty.
Also, IGN reports the new Smash's release for Europe as September 30. Could we truly be getting it in early fall as well? This is going to be huge. Once it's released, I'll never get a girlfriend. Still, schweetness incarnate.
