Ugh, this hasn't worked so well...
Well, my idea of keeping a writing journal hasn't worked out so well so far. I HAVE been writing, but the journal hasn't had any impact on that. Hopefully that will change. Kudos to Jenny for reminding me to update the damn thing.
Anyway.
Progress so far:
- Have written a few thousand more words on my budding samurai epic. I'm liking how that's going. Much assassination, intrigue and politics. Mental note: read Art Of War, Book Of Five Rings and Forty-Seven Ronin Story for inspiration.
-Have done a massive chunk of research for my Herodotus comedy piece. Have read up on both Herodotus' Histories and several plays by Aristophanes. Need to dig deeper into more details on Herodotus' life. Mental note - read up more on possible supporting characters - Sappho, Dionysius and mainly because Jen wants him in there, shouting about doooom, Euripides.
On a slightly different note, been thinking about writing some cowboy western short fiction, mainly due to the Deadlands game I'm meant to run tomorrow. Ahhh... Deadlands. Ridiculous pulp sci-fi meets spaghetti western meets Evil Dead. I love it.
I'm resolving to update this journal next weekend. Lets see if I can stick by that.
