so, first off, I have a couple (brief) movie reviews for you.

starting off, Transformers, it was, you know, ok. In general, it was mediocre. It's high points were borderline creative. While the special effects were superb, the fight scene was sloppily filmed and brutally confusing.

Next, Hot Rod, I will admit, I never would have seen this movie except I got free tickets to the sneak preview the night before it came out. So I went. It was awesome. Not so much the movie, but the atmosphere. I mean, everybody got briefs that say "Smack destiny on the face" on the ass. How cool is that? In all honesty, the actual movie was overshadowed by the free corn dogs (if you wore your wrist band) and the sword fights with sparklers. I mean, the movie was ok too.

Third, A foreign film (Japanese) called Who's Camus Anyway? basically amazing. It was about a group of young filmmakers in college working through all their, you know, stuff. But, the overwhelming image that I think of with this move is one of the boy who was playing the lead in the movie they were filming, while he was murdering an old woman. The look in his eyes was phenomenal. It was a really amazing shot.

Finally, the movie that I just watched tonight, Talk to Me. FINALLY! An American film that makes me have hope in Hollywood. It was pretty much amazing. It was beautifully filmed, very well written, and it had a drive, it was a movie about something other than being locked in a house with a killer, there was a point. But, best of all, it is a movie that makes you feel. These are characters that you will love, and understand. These are people that you know, and this is a movie that can make you laugh, cry, scream and clap. (Also want to get up and dance, it's got quite a bit of james brown).

wow. ok, I'm done with that. now...
I'm in algebra two this year. which means that next year I'll be in stat, and for the two years after that, I'll be in discreet math, or god forbid, calculus.
