Aquabats FTW!
Just got back from the concert with daemonx et al.
Phenomenauts were pretty cool. They do some interesting stuff on stage (leaf blower + toilet paper rolls). Not sure if they'd be as good just listening to them on a cd.I'd like to see them again though.
Epoxies were not so good. Didn't like the singer. They started *every* song with a keyboard intro, and after that, the keyboard part was essentially the same as the guitar part. So why even have the keyboard? My guess is they had a friend who *really* wanted to be in the band, and they had nowhere else to stick him.
Aquabats were just plain awesome. Despite some technical difficulties, it was everything I hoped for in a show from them. I'm anxious to go again, whenever they come back to town.
Now I'm sitting here debating whether I should go see a midnight show of Batman...
Audrey, Brian, and Jung went out drinking, and they were the most likely people to go with me. So I'd be going alone. I suppose I'll just stick with my plans and go tomorrow. I wouldn't want to overload on awesomeness.
