I was going to do that 30 questions meme but I think I'm too lazy.
Anyway, how about that college! My classes are all pretty cool. I ended up dropping Western Civilizations because I dunno I just wasn't feeling it, plus my friend Maggie pushed me into testing out this Experiencing the Arts class and it was amazing. And fuck me if I'm taking more than four classes this semester I have 15 hours already I'm fine. As long as I have enough to keep up my scholarship I'm happy.
But anyway, this Experiencing the Arts class sounds like it's going to be wicked cool. We have two teachers: one is an eccentric, middle-aged writer who paints in his spare time and could go for hours about the flaws of the government and how the American society downgrades culture but still sound optimistic about it. The other is the drama teacher who directs all the plays and has us do yoga breathing exercises before class. Kind of like an odd couple thing going on, but their dynamic is really interesting and I think is going to make the class. All we really do is go see plays and musicals and movies and operas and discuss them. We'll learn how to appreciate them and critique them and stuff. Plus I get to go to more poetry readings which I do enjoy.
Creative Writing is going pretty chill so far. I mean I hope it picks up because it's kind of like every other college creative writing course I've taken, except this time the class is only 7 people so I think we'll be able to get to know each other's writing on a more personal level I hope, because I've had enough unbiased views on my writing, but not enough biased views from people who I know know how to workshop writing. It'll be interesting...I just hope we write a lot more than in my past creative writing courses. Discussing how to write well is good and all but I just want to write.
Philosophy - holy shit ok this class is insane. Second day and we're being asked to explain why we believe what we believe. Lucky for me I've been through this whole debate before so it's like SHING *pulls out facts and historical evidence and shit*, but still, heavy stuff. The professor is eccentric in a brilliant way though, and I ended up acing my vocab test of 62 words today even though I started studying LAST NIGHT, so hopefully this one will be pretty cool.
Thanks for everyone who voted in my last poll, by the way. Your opinions really helped me get a well-rounded view of the whole belief in God. I think I got a better score because of that 8)

My dorms are still pretty chill except most of the people who live in them are total partiers and I don't party whatsoever so...pretty sure my roommate wants me to move my furniture around on my side of the room - yeah, I get the hints - but I love my set up now so blegh. I dunno if it really bothers her I'll change it but I like the cozy feeling.
Scream everyone is moving away. You guuuuuuuuuuuys come back home :(
On a positive note, I think I'm going to start hanging out with Aleks again. Funny thing - I texted him randomly the other day, just because it had been so long (months) since we had really talked, and I missed him. Yeah pretty sure I thought he was in California or something but apparently he moved back here and stuff so yeah. I feel like pestering him on Saturday.
Anyway. I finally got around to reading Deadman Wonderland, Fairy Tail, and Bizenghast, and finally ended up watching Baccano!. All that's left is Reborn!, and I dunno when I'll get to that...
Fairy Tail was cool. I app'd Kana, so now I have reason to bother Lauren (who plays Natsu), Garrett (who plays Gray), Liz (who plays Lucy!) and I forgot who plays Mirajane is that Kat......anyway. I also app'd Dinah from Bizenghast, and she seems really strong with me as a muse right now, I just need to play her. Oh, and I also snagged Firo from Baccano!. Te.
I desperately want to app Koshio Karako from Deadman Wonderland (see icon!), but I actually might app Yoh. We'll see.
Anyway, hooray for an actual entry! I should really change my lj layout soon.

I have discovered the band Under The Influence Of Giants and they are magical.
I feel like starting up some new letter games. I've got some going on now but you can never have too many right.
