The Feasts of God

A lot of us have grown up learning about God's Feast days and what they picture. Recently, I've come across a couple more things about the Feast days that are really neat!

Joy, you'll probably think this is neat...since you're going through it.

The journey to life, as compared with the Holy Days.

Holy day: Passover
When: 14th day of 1st month (Lev 23:5)
What happens: The egg is released on the 14th day of the menstrual cycle.
Parallel: Jesus is our Passover Lamb, and because of that, we have a chance at a new life, just as the releasing of the egg brings a chance for a new life to begin.

Holy day: Unleavened Bread
When: 15th day of 1st month (Lev 23:6)
What happens: The egg must be fertilized within 24 hours of when it's released or it will pass on.
Parallel: The seed is planted in the egg, just as Jesus was 'planted' in the ground after his crucifixion.

Holy day: First Fruits
When: Sunday after sabbath during D.O.U.B. (Lev 23:11)
What happens: Implantation can happen 2-6 days after fertilization. First Fruits can be 2-6 days after the first day of Unleavened bread, depending where the sabbath falls.
Parallel: Implantation is when the egg implants on the uterine wall. First fruits is a festival of the spring planting.

Holy day: Pentecost
When: 50 days after First Fruits (Lev 23:15-16)
What happens: Egg becomes a human fetus 50 days after implantation. Up until then, it develops as any other fetus, but you can tell it's a human after 50 days.
Parallel: When we receive the holy spirit we become a new creation in Christ (2 Cor 5:17.

Holy Day: Trumpets
When: 1st day of 7th month (Lev 23:23)
What happens: Baby's hearing fully develops.
Parallel: Hearing develops so the baby can identify and distinguish sounds...such as a trumpet!

Holy day: Atonement
When: 10th day of 7th month
What happens: Baby's blood changes so that it will be able to carry oxygen once it is outside the womb and able to breathe on its own.
Parallel: Jesus's blood covers over our sins. The blood is an important part of Atonement. A blood sacrifice was made on Atonement for the remission of sin (Lev 17:11). So it's neat that the baby's blood changes on this day.

Holy Day: Feast of Tabernacles
when: 15th day of 7th month (Lev 23:34)
What happens: Baby's lungs are developed and it would now survive if born early.
Parallel: Tabernacles is about tabernacling with God, being with Him. The tabernacle was the house of the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is symbolized as air or wind. So at this time, our tabernacle (body) is able to be filled with air.

Holy Day: Last Great Day
When: 8th day after the F.O.T.
What happens: The baby would be able to survive now if it was born early..and once born it will grow and develop in the care of its parents.
Parallel: We will dwell with our Father forever.

I just thought it was really neat, the parallels in the Holy day calendar and the way babies develop. Just goes to show that, in a way, we all follow God's calendar even before we're born!
