it has lots of plants and stuff around it though, doesn't it? Usually I like drawing the plants and trees more than the actual house...

lol I am very happy for you in your turtlyness:)

and thank you- I don't generally time myself, but if I had to make a rough estimate I would say the top one took maybe 4 or 5 hours over the course of two or three days and the bottom one took a little less...

people keep asking me what I would like to do when I graduate and I really do love architecture. I would really love to work in a firm doing renderings. People still like hand renderings today and I can whip them out faster this way than on a computer...

I'm working on an illustration of Jonathan Barnavelt's house from "the house with a clock in it's walls" right now (if you haven't read it do it!!) I left it at home, but it's almost close to being done

you definately need to read that and every other John Bellairs book you can find! they are super amazing. And then we'll take a trip over to Marshall Michigan and see the real house!

I think it just takes lots of practice. I draw and sketch ALOT in my spare time (although I feel compelled to, and probly everyone doesn't...)

Very good work. If you lived here, you'd be bogged down with pleas and petitions to draw the old school houses and farmsteads. I'm telling you, people see you waving a pencil over a piece of paper and they are like "Uh, I've always wanted someone to draw the old family tobacco barn...."

I am not good at drawing architecture at all. :Your skills amaze me.
