My current photography assignment is to make a series of three or more pictures. I've been kind of interested in model building and photographing lately (think Walter Wick and the I Spy books...) So I built a house out of tumbled rocks and clay and tree bark, and since I had a stone house, I thought, hmmm why not build a straw house and a stick house and do a three little pigs series... so I did, and I built a huge scene in my living room and made a reallllllly big mess in the living room. Anyways- here are some pictures. (keep in mind that these are quick pictures I took digitally- the "better" pictures were shot manually and I haven't had a chance to develop the film yet, but I will scan in the negatives or photos after I get a chance to go develop them)

This is the stone house in progress

just after I completed the stone house and the straw house

The stick house

randomly- this is grant shot through a piece of red stained glass. This was not altered in my computer in any way except to resize it. I think it's a pretty cool effect

beginning to set up in the living room

practice shots in black and white to make sure i'm on the right track (since my darkroom pictures will be black and white...)

Grant making an elephant eat a pig

Giant chick vs. elephant. Who will win!?!

a moose war

the stone house shot at "night"

through stained glass

the straw house in color

the completed scene- most of the materials I collected from outside. The only things I bought were the dried babysbreath and the moss used for grass (all the other non-natural materials I already had)

color

a very strange looking dinosaur

hippo vs. t-rex (in a couple shots on my film the hippo has attacked the pig...lol)

Very blurry herd of moose

oh no- the pig's been attacked by a gorilla

and that is all I took with my digital. I'm going to take more tonight using different homemade lenses to create some (hopefully) interesting effects.
