I got hooked on the TV series Once Upon A Time, and I'm already in the middle of series 2.
But the one hing that makes me nervous is if they'll ever renew it for a third series.
Some TV companies are unpredictable, and you'll never know if the shows we all like might get cancelled. But if it does get renewed for a third series then I can imagine new storylines and characters would appear in the 'supposedly' third series:
1). The Black Knight - An interesting character, this version would be a simple farmboy who, knowing that the villagers would lose their children to the Ogre Wars, volunteers himself. He displays great skills against the king's men and offers that he fights and if he succeeds then his people will be off limits. Knowing that he had made a mistake, the farmboy is approached by Rumpelstiltskin and offered to make him unbeatable; strength of ten men and the innability to die. Basically, "fight like a monster to fight monsters" as Rumpelstiltskin exclaims. But in return, the farmboy offers his heart. The deal becomes a success, and the farmboy becomes a knight in black. The Black Knight successfully defeats the Ogres and is praised by his villagers as a hero. But overtime, the Black Knight develops changes; black veins appear all over his face and his eyes become pitch black, almost wraith-like. Rumpelstiltskin appears and explains the side effects. Furious of the deceit, the Black Knight threatens the dark one to change him back. Rumpelstiltskin displays that although he cannot control the Black Knight, he can kill him by destroying his heart, but also restore him back by placing his heart back in. But only on the conditon that he searches across the land, even in realms to search for magic beans, to which the Black Knight reluctantly agrees. Fueled with hatred and betrayel, the Black Knight realises that not even the dark one himself can destroy him, and vows revenge. But along the way, he runs into the Evil Queen, who sees the Black Knight as a threat to her plans. After refusing the Evil Queen's offer to serve her in killing Snow White, the Black Knight gets attacked by her men, only to easily defeat them. The Evil Queen then casts a spell where the Black Knight is burned from within his armour, which slows him down long enough to be restrained in shackels and buried alive deep in the earth. But the Black Knight will most likely resurface somewhere in the 'supposed' third series as a second antagonist, swearing vengeance on Mr.Gold/Rumpelstilskin and Regina/Evil Queen. And the Black Knight would also feature a ghoulish appearance, superhuman strength, invincibility and a spiritual connection with his horse(able to see what it sees).
2). Ice King - This character is somewhat a parody to DC's Mr.Freeze. Originally, he was Victor, a deserter in the Ogre Wars who seeks a place to start again at a cold and quiet village, only to feel hostility from the villagers, except from two, one who becomes his friend and another named Nora who he falls in love. One day, the villagers become tired of being terrorised by the Ice Witch who lives deep in the woods. Victor reluctently agrees, only if the villagers accept him. Victor ventures into the woods, where he faces and battles the Ice Witch, who has frozen her victims while some have died from hyperthermia(courtesy of the Ice Witch's 'kiss of death'). The fight continues down in the cave, where before the Ice Witch could deliver her kiss of death, Victor shoots an arrow at a large ice shard hanging down the cave, falling on the Ice Witch and killing her. He then takes her sceptre where he feels great but terrofying power in it. As he returns to the village, everyone are shocked but quickly overjoyed by his heroic as the land became spring again. Afterwards, Victor concludes that the sceptre is evil and that it must never be used again. During time, Victor starts a romance with Nora as the two quickly fall in love, even calling her his 'princess'. However, their love is quickly shortlived as soldiers sent by the duke(who's castle is near their village) demanding servents. When the Duke's men try to take Nora, Victor intervenes. He fights valiantly for her, but is quickly overpowered as they take her away. Angered and defeated, Victor reluctently turns to the sceptre that he kept. Despite warnings from his friend, Victor takes the sceptre and uses it to seige the Dukes castle, easily killing the soldiers and then the duke. Victor puts the sceptre down and reasures a frighten Nora that he's the same person and swears never to use the sceptre again. But the transformation from the sceptre had already begun, and as the two embrace with a kiss, Nora suffers hyperthermia and slowly dies. Devestated by what he has done, Victor grievely took the sceptre and incased the duke's castle in ice, making it his home. He then created an ice tomb and placed Nora in a glass coffin to keep her preserved(but not before placing an ice terrara on her head, mirroring him calling her his princess). Heartbroken and realising that he cannot undo the path he has chosen, Victor immediatly takes the name Ice King and rules over the land, even taking every women in every village away as prisoners in his castle, as if he must be lonely so must everyone else. Evetually, Prince Phillip and Mulan enters his castle to free all the imprison women. As Phillip and Ice King battle, Phillip easily defeats him, only to notice Nora in a glass coffin and realises that she's his true love. Phillip then explains that his true love, Aurora, has been seperated from him. For the first time, the Ice King became touched, and agreed to let the women go, and allow Mulan and Phillip to leave with their lives, leaving the Ice King alone with his dead beloved. The Ice King would be shown as a man emotionally tormented, yet just as powerful as Rumpelstilskin. His appearance is blue skin and white hair and beard(moslty made of ice). He'll most likely be the main antagonist in the 'supposed' third series as he becomes determined to bring back his beloved.
3). The Order - The order would be a council of the wisest and powerful and most legendary figurs in fairytales; Merlin, Abraham Van Helsing, the Cheshire Cat(from Alice In Wonderland, Draco(the last dragon), the Monkey King & the great and powerful Wizard of Oz. They came together and watch all of the realms. But when they hear of the curse, they create magical wardrobes to send them away before the curse claims them. In the modern world, they are a secret syndicate that have combined their abilities with the world's resources and has also been monitoring Emma and Storybrooke. They try to keep the town a secret from the outside world, but one member decides to first send a large group of military Black Ops, but later on plot to send missiles to rubble to town to the ground, forcing every residents, good and evil to unite and save their town. This would defiantly make a good storyline.
Well, those are my ideas. But these are IF a third series would happen. And if it did, these might be the options that would fit in the show. If anyone has seen the show, reply back what you think. But for those who haven't seen the show, it might be a little confusing for you. Up to you, I just needed to get this off my chest.
tv series,
fairytale,
fantasy,
possibility.
