Film idea: Rock On!

Plot: Washed-up musicians come together to form a band! Rik(Black), a disgraced guitarist, turns to his roommate Ned(Segal)'s help, who is a gifted but shy song-writer into helping him form a band. The turn contact JC(Brand), a school friend of Rik who the two performed a rock duo ina school talent show as their drummer. They also spot the talents of Heather(Malone) and has her as bass player/singer. And finally, they managment in the form of McKenzie(Cage) a former band member as their manager(for which he reluctantly accepts). The band newly formed band officaly named "Rock 'n' Rollers" try to fill the seat audiance for a big gig in order to get a record label.
Notes: Having Jack Black and Russell Brand in the film performing Rock 'n' Roll would be worth watching. The sub plot of the film would be while the band try to attract as many fans as they can, there will be a budding romance between Jason Segal's character and Jenna Malone's character. Rhys Ifans would also be in the role as the film's antagonist and former bandmate to Nicholas Cage's character, now owning his own record label company. He would basically be arrogant and chauvinistic.
Rather than having covers of rocks songs, there will be made up rock songs; combining lyrics of modern-day rock music with the rhythm of the classical rock songs.
This would be a film worth watching.
