1). Iron Man - A start of the Avengers chapter, starring Rober Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard and Jeff Bridges. The film shows the capture of Tony Stark, and the rise of Iron Man. It also has a post-credit scene with the appearance of Nick Fury, played by Samuel L. Jackson(I was in shock & awe at that).
2). The Incredible Hulk - This counts as another (sort of)chapter to the Avengers, even though the film was made by Universal Studios. It stars Edward Norton, Liv Tyler, William Hurt and Tim Roth. The film is a remake to the disapointing film of the same name(which had Eric Bana), but it skips the origin of the Hulk and focus on Bruce Banner on the run while trying to find a cure. But General Rpss foolishly sends in another monster to fight the Hulk, one much worse and even he cannot control; The Abomination.
3). Iron Man 2 - Sequel starring Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle(replacing Terrence Howard), Jon Favreau, Scarlett Johansson and Mickey Rourke. It sees Iron Man going through a self-destructive life while also facing an opponent who's using Ark Reactor technology to power electro whips that can hurt the invincible Iron Man. There is a post-credit scene which shows the next film is Thor.
4). Thor - The next chapter, nearly close to the Avengers movie. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba and Anthony Hopkins. It sees a then arrogant Thor incidently causing a war between Asgardians and Frost Giants. And for that, his father Odin banishes him. While there, his brother Loki schemes for the throne and tries to kill Thor and everyone in earth. The end-credit scene(albeit confusing) implies the next is Captain America.
5). Captain America: The First Avengers - The final installment before the Avenegrs film, starring Chris Evans(the buff actor, the the nerdy presenter), Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Toby Jones, Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper, Stanley Tucci and Hugo Weaving. The film sees how the scrawny Steve Rogers becomes the unbeatable Captain America. It also sees how he will arrive in the present time. This film was awesome! And the end-credit scene showed the teaser for the upcoming Avengers film.
6). The Avengers - The upcoming blockbuster movie we've all been waiting for, starring Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo(replacing Edward Norton), Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgard, Clark Gregg, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson. This ensemble film sees all the heroes come together against a common enemy, who plans to unleash an army onto earth. The only way to stop it is uniting heroes, each with their own stlye; alone they are unbeatable but together they are unstoppable. This film is incredibly mind-blowing and epic!
7). Iron Man 3 - A third(albeit dull) installment starring Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce and Ben Kinglsey. It takes place after events of The Avengers, which sees Tony Stark unable to cope since his near-death experiance in New York. But his problems are even more complicated when he goes all out war on his most dangerous adversay; The Mandarin. The film didn't put me on the edge of my seat as the trailer of it promised. Plus, I was slightly disapointed in the portrayal of The Mandarin. I guess what I'm trying to say is; I didn't like it, but I didn't hate either. But it is part of the Avengers chapter and should be watched none the less.
8). Thor: The Dark World - Sequel to Thor, starring Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hiddleston and Chrisopher Eccleston. The film sees Thor returning to earth, but already trying to save it from an ancient enemy the Asgardians had faced; Dark Elves, who plot to destroy the fabric of reality itself. And Thor's only help now is his treacherous brother Loki.
9). Captain America: The Winter Soldier - The next installment, starring Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan and Samuel L. Jackson. The film sees Steve Rogers coming to grips with leaving in a world he is not familiar with yet working for S.H.I.E.L.D. in black-ops missions. But the line between right and wrong becomes blurry when he not only faces an old he thought long gone, but a new enemy who shown to be a match for him; Winter Soldier, who looks eerily familiar. This sequel was even better than the first film. And the mid-credit scene shows new characters; the children of Magneto held captive by HYDRA.
10). Guardians of the Galaxy - A sci-fi film, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Chris Cooper and Vind Diesel. This film sees intergalactic criminals; a thief(Star-Lord), two thugs(Rocket & Groot), a murderer(Gamora) and a maniac(Drax the Destroyer) thrown together to save the galaxy from an evil who is after on of the Infinity Stones. This film was....EPICdary! My favourite was Groot, second being Drax. I loved the funny bits and was mind-blown to the fight scenes. I was a little bit disapointed with the end-credit scene though; kinda hoped it would show a teaser for Avengers: Age of Ultron. But other than that, the film was brilliant.
Other films to look out for;
Avengers: Age of Ultron
Ant-man
Captain America 2
Guardians of the Galaxy 2
Other possible films hoping to be made;
New Avengers spin-off
Next Hulk film
X-Men/Avengers Crossover film
A fourth Iron Man film
A third Thor film
A final Avengers chapter(prbably split into a two-parter) titled Infinite Crisi, which would also crossover with Guardians of the Galaxy, and would see everyone finding the remaing Infinity Stones and battle Thanos
